SEA HAWK OF THE WEEK:

Ms. Keely Pompa would like to nominate Makayla Williams.

Mr. Jens Brandt would like to nominate our Campus Safety Assistant, Gabriel Floran.

OLVERA STREET TRIP:

Want to kick off the holiday season, learn about Mexican cultural traditions, and practice your Spanish? Then join the Spanish Club for their annual trip to Olvera  Street for Las Posadas. The trip is open to all RUHS students and costs $10. We will leave RUHS at 4:00pm on Thursday, December 19 and return by 9:00. There are limited spaces available, so be sure to buy your ticket ASAP in the ASB Finance Office. If you have any questions, you can see Ms. Muñoz in room 406 or Ms. Robinson in room 502.

SENIOR PICTURES:

Seniors- if you have not taken your Senior Photo, Prestige Portrait Studio will be here on Tuesday, December 10th.  Please sign up at the front desk with Mr. Kelley for an appointment. This will be your last chance to have your picture in the yearbook. 

PIT ORCHESTRA:

Would you like to play in the pit orchestra for this school year’s fun and exciting spring musical 9 to 5? We are presently looking for string players. If you play acoustic guitar, electric guitar, arch top electric guitar, banjo, mandolin, round neck dobro, or any other similar instrument please email Mr. Vizcarra at [email protected] or stop by the band room any time during snack or lunch.

 

CAML INFORMATION:

The next California Math League (CAML) Contest will be held next Tuesday December 10 at lunch in 316.  Earn extra credit in your math class (Geometry or higher).

 

TENNIS TRYOUTS:

Tryouts for the RUHS Boys' Tennis Team will begin Wednesday 12/11, on the LOWER courts (near Vincent & Irena Ave.) at 3:15pm, and continue Thursday 12/12. Please be prepared to attend both days and stay until dark if needed. These tryouts will include freshmen, new players, and non-starters from last year's JV team, and will consist of singles match play. Please make sure you are familiar with scoring and singles match play format beforehand.

 

MATH TUTORING:

*Free math tutoring will be available after school every Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 4 PM.  Go to Room 152 on Tuesdays, and go to Room 209 on Thursdays.

*Need help with math? Come down to Room 313 during lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and

Thursdays for help! Need community service hours? Like math? Come down to the Math Tutoring Club to volunteer as a math tutor for community service!

 

CHEMISTRY TUTOR:

Need help with Chemistry? Come down to Room 122 during lunch on Tuesdays, and Thursdays for help! All qualified tutor who volunteer will receive community service hour!

 

DRESS CODE:

Please remember that RUHS has a strict dress code policy that needs to be adhered to. Failure to do so will result in having to change and/or fix your outfit. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any adult on campus, or look on the website or in your school planner for the dress code policy of what is allowable and what is not.
