ASB HOLIDAY SPIRTWEEK:
Next week ASB is hosting their annual Holiday Spirit Week! The weeks theme centers around Holiday songs. Monday wear flannel for “Cold December Nights”, Tuesday rock your jersey for “Run Run Rudolph”, Wednesday don your Ugly sweater for “Deck the Halls”, Thursday is Twin or Group Day for “Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow”, and finally Friday is PJ day for “Home for the Holidays”. RUHS CHOIR WINTER CONCERT:
Get in the spirit of the season and come hear the RUHS Choirs perform in their Winter Concert. The concert will take place on Tuesday, December 17th @6:30pm in the RUHS Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 general admission and $7 with ASB. Hope to see you there!”
RUHS THEATURE:
Enjoy acting and performing? Love to create and be involved in the technical side of theater? It’s time to get ready for auditions and interviews for our Spring Musical – 9 to 5, based on the hit movie
starring Dolly Parton! RUHS Theatre Arts will be holding an informational meeting at 3:15 pm on Wednesday December 18th in the Blackbox. Come and get more information about how to audition and interview to be involved in our amazing performing arts programs here at RUHS!
CAMAL
Congratulations to Theo Danial for his perfect score of 6 out of 6 on this week's California Math League Contest! He was followed closely by Skyler Coleman and Akash Pulinthanathu who each scored 5 out of 6. The next CAML Contest will be on January 7, the second day back after Winter Break.
CAROL-GRAM PRESENTED BY RUHS JAZZ BAND:
Sea Hawks- support the RUHS jazz band and Spread the holiday cheer by purchasing a Carol gram! Grams are $3 and include a candy cane and live performance of your favorite holiday song for that special someone! Purchase from any jazz band student, or find us in the student union at lunch this whole week.
OLVERA STREET TRIP:
Want to kick off the holiday season, learn about Mexican cultural traditions, and practice your Spanish? Then join the Spanish Club for their annual trip to Olvera Street for Las Posadas. The trip is open to all RUHS students and costs $10. We will leave RUHS at 4:00pm on Thursday, December 19 and return by 9:00. There are limited spaces available, so be sure to buy your ticket ASAP in the ASB Finance Office. If you have any questions, you can see Ms. Muñoz in room 406 or Ms. Robinson in room 502.
HOST FAMILES:
Do you want to build a lasting friendship with someone from another country? The French Department is looking for host families for students from France between February 22nd and March 5th. This is an extremely rewarding and fun experience for all involved! If you are interested, please email Madame Graffio at [email protected]. Remember anyone can host, you do not have to speak French!
MATH TUTORING:
*Free math tutoring will be available after school every Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 4 PM. Go to Room 152 on Tuesdays, and go to Room 209 on Thursdays.
*Need help with math? Come down to Room 313 during lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and
Thursdays for help! Need community service hours? Like math? Come down to the Math Tutoring Club to volunteer as a math tutor for community service!
CHEMISTRY TUTOR:
Need help with Chemistry? Come down to Room 122 during lunch on Tuesdays, and Thursdays for help! All qualified tutor who volunteer will receive community service hour!
DRESS CODE:
Please remember that RUHS has a strict dress code policy that needs to be adhered to. Failure to do so will result in having to change and/or fix your outfit. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any adult on campus, or look on the website or in your school planner for the dress code policy of what is allowable and what is not.
BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS:
