PARENTS & KIDS WORKSHOP:
9th Grade parents! Please Join Dr. Greg Allen on Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30PM in the RUHS Library for a chance to enjoy a workshop with your child. Please see attached flier for more details.
SENIOR ACTIVITIES:
Trip for Seniors only! Disneyland Grad Night Experience at Disneyland California Adventure.
Tuesday, May 26th to Wednesday, May 27th 1:15pm -3:00am.
Cost: $140 with Senior Sticker, and $150 without. Last Day to Purchase tickets is Thursday, March 12th!
Seniors: The ASB Finance office is now accepting Senior Excursion payments. Please make sure you have your pink form signed and completed when you go to make your payment. You will also be assigned a bus at the time of your ticket purchase, so be sure to purchase your tickets with your friends. There are a limited number of tickets sold for this event, and we WILL run out! Do not delay on purchasing your ticket, as it is a first come. First serve process. If you have any questions, please come see Mrs. Mata in the ASB room ASAP.
Seniors: Senior Movie Night is coming up on Thursday, March 12 right before a three day weekend! The movie is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and will begin at 7:30 pm on the auditorium lawn. Dinner and movie snacks will be provided. The event is FREE with a Senior sticker and $10 without. Tickets can be purchased at the ASB Finance Office or the night of the event. Wear pajamas and bring pillows/blankets!
UCLA BLOOD DRIVE:
Are you 16 years old or older? Are you interested in helping to save lives in our community? Then sign up for the UCLA Blood Drive, held on campus on Wednesday March 25th. Check your school email for the link to sign up.
CAML:
Congratulations to Akash Pulinthanathu and Dylan Herman for being the top scorers at RUHS on last week’s CAML Contest, each scoring 5 out of 6! The last California Math League Contest of the year will occur on March 17.
CSF: The CSF window is extended one day, to Monday, March 2nd. Students who missed the normal window can still get their applications stamped at lunch on Monday in room 705. No stamping will be available after school. Payments will be accepted before school, snack, lunch, and after school on Monday, March 2nd. No applications will be accepted after Monday. Bring your report card, or a copy of it, along with your completed application to room 705 at lunch only for approval. $5 dues must be turned in to ASB finance office with the stamped application no later than Monday, March 2nd. Seniors, remember that to qualify for seal bearer you must have four semesters, starting with sophomore grades, and one of the semesters MUST be senior grades. You may still use next semester’s grades if you need to, seniors, but don’t let this opportunity pass you by if you have qualifying grades and citizenship!
LOVE ART:
*Artists! Photographers! And Writers! The Women’s Club of Hermosa Beach are looking for students to submit art, photography poetry or a short story. Come pick up an application in room 113. Deadline to submit is March 2.
*The Water is Life student art contest is here and we are looking for artists to promote water awareness and conservation. 15 ipads will be awarded! Please stop by room 113, Ms. Roth for an application. Deadline to submit is March 9th.
MATH TUTORING:
*Free math tutoring will be available after school every Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 4 PM. Go to Room 152 on Tuesdays, and go to Room 209 on Thursdays.
*Need help with math? Come down to Room 313 during lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for help! Need community service hours? Like math? Come down to the Math Tutoring Club to volunteer as a math tutor for community service!
CHEMISTRY TUTORING:
Need help with Chemistry? Come down to Room 122 during lunch on Tuesdays, and Thursdays for help! All qualified tutor who volunteer will receive community service hour!
