CAML
Want to show off your math skills and earn extra credit in your math class? Sign up for the California Math League (CAML) Contests, which will be given online this year! To sign up, you MUST be logged into your school account to provide your name and school email through this form.

There will be 6 California Math League (CAML) Contests, once a month starting in October through March. The first will be taken on the afternoon (~2:15 PM) of Tuesday October 13. Please sign up by 2PM Friday October 9, or you will not be able to participate in the 1st Contest!
SKECHERS PIER TO PIER WALK:
http://www.skechersfriendshipwalk.com/ (Official walk page) The 12th annual Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk is happening this year on Sunday, October 25th! It is the first entirely virtual Friendship Walk, and a live stream of events will take place at 10 AM Oct. 25th. Unfortunately, we are not able to come together and walk in person this year, but the event is still happening! Register to "walk" with us for $30 and support our Beach Cities schools. Through donations from walkers, Skechers along with our education foundations improve vital academic programs, maintain smaller classrooms, improve libraries and upgrade school technology. The Walk also funds the Skechers Foundation’s annual scholarship program, which will donate $100,000 to deserving students across the country in 2020. If you want to be a part of the walk, be sure to register! If you want to help us raise funds for our school, join the Redondo Union High School team at RUHS Walk Team.
MEASURE Q BOND:
Please see the attached announcement inviting Redondo Beach residents to apply to the RBUSD Measure Q Bond Committee for 2 open positions. This application’s new due date is October 31, 2020.
CSF APPLICATIONS:
The CSF (California Scholarship Federation) application window is open now through October 9th for students in grades 10-12. Students interested in applying for this state honor roll, please join Ms. Valentekovich's CSF Google Classroom (code: 6ohdsl5) to access the application and directions. (Freshmen are welcome to join the classroom, but they must wait to apply until next semester, when they have RUHS grades.)The application window will close on 10/9. After you submit your Google Form application available on GClassroom, please allow up to one week for confirmation of your eligibility. You will receive confirmation via your school email account, at which point you will be able to complete registration by paying the $5 fee through the ASB webstore. Please do not pay until you have received confirmation of your eligibility
FREE & REDUCED MEAL APPLICATIONS:
Please complete a Free and Reduced Meal Price Application Form. MealApplicationLink You will be notified by mail of your child's status. Only complete one application per family. The information you give will be used to determine or prove your child's eligibility for free or reduced-price meals. This information may also be used for other state or federally funded school benefits.

Information Technology Department Chromebook Insurance:
Redondo Beach Unified School District will continue to offer optional insurance for the 2020-2021 school year for school issued Chromebooks given to students. The yearly cost is $26.00. Insurance is with a third party provider that will protect the Chromebooks against accidental damage, theft, and perils. This insurance policy will provide full replacement cost coverage and will protect the item worldwide (on and off school grounds). The policy is also transferable to a replacement unit.To pay for optional insurance this year, payments can be made online using the Parent Portal,
