How to participate in Spirit Week Next week:
Wear your theme item to class! Don’t have clothes to match the theme? Get creative with your digital backgrounds! Earn Spirit points for your Class, and enter into chances to win RUHS Gear!
Each day, DM or email a picture of you decked out in your spirit day outfits to your class instagram accounts or representatives by 3pm (@ruhsco2021, @ruhsco2022, @ruhsco2023, @ruhsco2024). (Seniors: [email protected] , Juniors: [email protected] , Sophomores: [email protected] , Freshmen: [email protected] ). Your pictures will be posted onto the instagram stories to show off your spirit, as well as the instagram accounts of @sammyseahawk and @flockszn. Each day you send a picture to the Instagram accounts, you will be entered into a daily drawing to win various RUHS gear, including: sweatpants, Bluetooth Speaker, RUHS Lanyards, RUHS Sticker, and spirit shirts. Additionally, submitting your entry will also earn your class spirit points. One entry per day, Monday through Friday. The more days you participate in, the better chances you get of collecting ALL of the prizes! The class with the most points or most pictures sent to the Instagram accounts/school emails at the end of the week will be entered into the final drawing, with each daily entry having an opportunity to win the grand prize of a $50 In-N-Out gift card or a $50 Amazon Gift Card. To be eligible for the $50 gift card, you must participate/DM your spirit picture!

Want to show off your math skills and earn extra credit in your math class? Sign up for the California Math League (CAML) Contests, which will be given online this year! SKECHERS PIER TO PIER WALK:
http://www.skechersfriendshipwalk.com/ (Official walk page) The 12th annual Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk is happening this year on Sunday, October 25th! It is the first entirely virtual
Friendship Walk, and a live stream of events will take place at 10 AM Oct. 25th. Unfortunately, we are not able to come together and walk in person this year, but the event is still happening! Register to "walk" with us for $30 and support our Beach Cities schools. Through donations from walkers, Skechers along with our education foundations improve vital academic programs, maintain smaller classrooms, improve libraries and upgrade school technology. The Walk also funds the Skechers Foundation’s annual scholarship program, which will donate $100,000 to deserving students across the country in 2020. If you want to be a part of the walk, be sure to register! If you want to help us raise funds for our school, join the Redondo Union High School team at RUHS Walk Team.

Information Technology Department Chromebook Insurance:
Redondo Beach Unified School District will continue to offer optional insurance for the 2020-2021 school year for school issued Chromebooks given to students. The yearly cost is $26.00. Insurance is with a third party provider that will protect the Chromebooks against accidental damage, theft, and perils. This insurance policy will provide full replacement cost coverage and will protect the item worldwide (on and off school grounds). The policy is also transferable to a replacement unit. To pay for optional insurance this year, payments can be made online using the Parent Portal,
