UPCOMING EVENTS:

SKECHERS PIER TO PIER FRIENDSHIP WALK: It is almost time for this year's Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk on October 30th. Sign up today to walk, either in person or virtually--both count the same toward our goal of 600 walkers! The more walkers who register, the larger our school grant will be! We are trying to get a new marquee for RUHS to better highlight our amazing students and our school's offerings. So, sign up with friends and neighbors and sign up out-of-town family members as virtual walkers. It all counts! Visit www.rbef.org/skechers and click on our school logo to register today!

Students, in case you're still on the fence about signing up, remember that RUHS will have a Sea Hawk Splash Competition to see who can make the best splash! You may be wondering, what is the "best" splash? See below for details!

  • Contestants will be judged on a scale from 1 to 10 on two elements: style and splash.
  • Style means how flashy your form is before you hit the water--did you do a traditional cannonball? Pencil dive? Belly flop? Pirouette in midair?
  • Splash means how strong your splash is when you hit the water--is your splash epic like a geyser explosion, or just a tiny plop?

This competition will see students, teachers, and ALL of RU Administration face off in a splash showdown! The competition will take place in our aquatic center IF…

  • 600 Sea Hawk community members sign up.
  • Students who signed up (each class) will be randomly drawn to participate (1 student = Splash/Judge, 30 = spectators of contest). The class with the most virtual sign-ups will have 50 spectators.
  • If a student does not wish to splash, they can choose a willing friend, teacher, or staff member in their place.  The student will then be a judge.
  • The event will take place on Friday, November 18 during snack and SSH (RUTV will film the event live).

Join Team RUHS for the Skechers Walk on Sunday, October 30th today for a chance to participate in the Sea Hawk Splash Competition!
