SOCAL ROC MEDIA DESIGN COURSE
Attention students: Are you interested in exploring a career in graphic arts? Enroll in our 8-week course - Media Design II (Illustrator) at SoCal ROC! This course is online and after school. Learn how to use this industry standard design program that lets you capture your creative vision with shapes, color, effects, and typography. Create beautiful designs that can go anywhere - print, web and apps, video and animations, and more! Earn 5 high school elective credits in 8 weeks, while learning valuable skills! This course and Adobe Illustrator software are FREE for high school students. Your SoCal ROC career guidance specialist is available to answer any questions in the Nest every Thursday during 2nd period and snack. Add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Nest to meet with her ASAP! Please see attached flyer for more information.
MANAGING LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL
SENIORS! Are you feeling all the stress that comes with ending high school and starting a new chapter of your life? Join us in the Library at lunch on Friday, April 28th for a workshop on managing life after high school with local therapist Erin Campbell. Parents of SENIORS! Are you feeling all the big emotions that come with your child ending high school and starting a new chapter of life? Join us in the Library from 1:45-2:45 p.m. on Friday, April 28th for a workshop on managing your life after your child graduates high school, with South Bay therapist, Erin Campbell. CALIFORNIA STATE PTA SEEKS STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Attention 10th and 11th grade Sea Hawks! Do you have opinions to share on current issues? Are you interested in having a voice? Would you like to develop leadership skills? FIRST ANNUAL TEEN JOB FAIR
We are excited to announce the First Annual Teen Job Fair on Thursday May 11th at 12:50pm in the RUHS campus Student Union. This is a great chance to showcase businesses in the community AND for our eager work-ready students to find employment for the summer, and beyond. If your business or a business you know of may be interested in attending the Teen Job Fair to connect with students and our campus community at large, please fill out this Google Form or respond to this email.

SOCAL ROC
Attention Students: SoCal ROC Spring semester enrollment has begun! Earn high school elective credits while learning valuable skills that prepare you for college and/or an entry-level career. Courses are after school and FREE for high school students. FREE bus transportation is also available to and from our center for all RUHS students enrolled in our 1:15pm and 4:15pm classes. Your SoCal ROC career guidance specialist is available in the Nest to answer any questions every Thursday during 2nd period and snack. Add your name to the signup sheet in the Nest to meet with her ASAP!
