INVENTION CONVENTION
This year our school will be participating in a special kind of science fair called the Invention Convention. Invention Convention is a worldwide organization that helps TK-12 students develop their problem-solving and creative-thinking skills. Our school will be hosting an in-person Invention Convention on February 23, 2024 at 3:30PM in the Noble Gallery. One winner from each grade level will advance to the CA Invention Convention (Southern Region) on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at El Camino College. CLASS OF 2024 GRAD NITE
California Adventure Disneyland Grad Nite tickets go on sale Monday, Feb. 12th. Tickets must be purchased in person at the ASB Finance Office. Tickets cannot be purchased without a signed permission slip (permission slips available in Gov/Econ classes). Tickets are $190 ($180 with Senior Sticker). Bus assignments are first come, first served. If you want to be assigned to the same bus as your friends, buy tickets at the same time. Deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, March 15th. TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. The permission slip is attached.
TEENS IN POLICING 2024
The Teens in Policing program is designed to provide young members of our community to explore how modern policing works. This is accomplished through learning activities, interaction, and discussion between teens and the law enforcement personnel who serve their communities. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
2024 NATIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE CAMP
The California Department of education is pleased to announce that applications are open for the 2024 National Youth Science Camp (NYSC) for high-achieving, science-oriented students. Hosted by NYSC, this annual residential science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) program for high school students is designed to honor and challenge some of the nation’s young leaders and provide them with opportunities to engage with STEAM professionals and participate in exciting outdoor activities. SOCAL ROC SPRING SEMESTER
Attention students SoCal ROC Spring semester enrollment has begun! Earn high school elective credits while learning valuable skills that prepare you for college and/or an entry-level career. Courses are after school and FREE for high school students. FREE transportation is also available to and from our center for all RUHS students enrolled in our 1:15pm and 4:15pm classes. Your SoCal ROC career guidance specialist is available in the Nest to answer any questions every Monday for 1st, 2nd period and snack, Thursday during 2nd period and snack. Add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Nest to meet with her ASAP!
AQUATICS LIFEGUARD
Interested in becoming a lifeguard? RBUSD is hiring a lifeguard/swim instructor. Must be at least 16 years of age and have American Red Cross certification including Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications. Click here to apply!
