VOTER REGISTRATION OPPORTUNITY
Sea Hawks, are you registered to vote? In recognition of High School Voter Education Weeks, the League of Women Voters of Beach Cities will be on campus in the Quad on Wednesday, April 17th from Snack to Lunch to help you get registered if you would like to exercise your right to vote. If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can PRE-register and you will be eligible to vote when you turn 18. You just need your driver’s license, California ID, or the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.
SOCAL ROC SPRING SEMESTER ZOOM INFO SESSION
SoCal ROC (Southern California Regional Occupational Center) 2024 Fall semester begins Monday, September 9, 2024! Earn high school CTE elective credits while learning valuable skills and exploring your passions, which could lead to an entry-level career. Our SCROC Career Guidance Specialist, Ms. Ana Briseno, will be hosting a Zoom Info Session on Wednesday, April 17 at 5:30 pm. Come and learn about the enrollment process as well as the in person and virtual courses offered this fall. Courses are after school and FREE for high school students.

PARENT COMMUNITY NIGHT-DANGERS OF YOUTH SUBSTANCE USE
Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) and the Beach Cities Partnership for Youth Coalition are partnering with South Bay Families Connected and Redondo Beach Unified School District to host an in-person event to educate community members on the dangers of youth substance use. SOCAL ROC EBLAST
Attention students: Are you interested in a career in Welding? Enroll in our 8-week course at SoCal ROC!. The course is from 1:15pm to 4:15pm. This course is after school at our campus in Torrance. Learn about the most commonly utilized welding processes along with essential topics such as terminology, welding design, and welding safety. You will learn the art and science of welding and metal fabrication in a true environment with hands-on training. Earn 5 high school credits in 8 weeks while learning valuable skills. Your SoCal ROC career guidance specialist is available to answer any questions in the Nest Every Thursday during 2nd period and snack. Add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Nest to meet with her ASAP!
TEENS IN POLICING 2024
The Teens in Policing program is designed to provide young members of our community to explore how modern policing works. This is accomplished through learning activities, interaction, and discussion between teens and the law enforcement personnel who serve their communities. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
AQUATICS LIFEGUARD
Interested in becoming a lifeguard? RBUSD is hiring a lifeguard/swim instructor. Must be at least 16 years of age and have American Red Cross certification including Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications. Click here to apply!
