ASB INFORMATION:
*It’s not too late to purchase an ASB sticker! The Back to School Special runs at $140, and includes an ASB sticker for free admittance into sporting events, discounts on school events, a planner, spirit shirt, and our award winning yearbook. There is also the option of purchasing the Spirit pack for $60, which does not include the yearbook. Sales end Friday, September 28th. Don’t delay and purchase today!
*All RUHS students wishing to use the hall locker assigned to you must use a RUHS lock. Purchase for $7 in the ASB Finance Office.
*Hey Seniors! It's not too late to buy a Senior Sticker and enjoy all the fun senior events we have to offer (plus food!)! Stickers cost $40 and can be purchased in the ASB finance office! Hurry before it's too late!
PARKING AT RUHS:
Staff and Students: All parking spots are assigned and permitted. In order for you to park in the parking lot during the school day, you MUST have been assigned a designated spot. Please do not park in the parking lot if you did not receive a spot, you will be towed.
DRAMA:
It’s time to get ready for our Mainstage Winter Play - In Any Language – a hilarious comedy set in Italy that shows you what happens when you are making a movie – but can’t speak the language! RUHS Theatre Arts will be holding an informational meeting at 3:15 pm on Monday September 17th in the Blackbox. Come and get more information about auditions and technical interviews, and start off the school year with this hilarious and full of laughs show!
SPORTS TRYOUT:
Surf: Tryouts will be Sunday, September 9th at 7:00am at the Hermosa Pier.
Softball: Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, September 12 at 3:30 PM on the softball field. All
players who were not on varsity for Redondo Union High School in the 2018 season and any new
players wanting trying out will be evaluated on September 12 at 3:30 PM If your player is in a fall sport please have them contact Coach Dessert via email @ [email protected] or in my office in the small gym to set up an alternate tryout date.
CHEER CLINIC:
The RUHS Cheer Squad invites students K - 8TH to attend their annual Junior Sea Hawk Cheer Clinic! Students will learn exciting dances, and cheers from the RUHS Cheer Squad. They will perform during halftime at the Varsity Football Game on September 28th, 2018.
Junior Sea Hawk Training Schedule:
Wednesday, September 26th from 3:30PM to 5:00PM
Thursday, September 27th from 3:30PM to 5:00PM
Friday, September 28th from 5:30PM to half time of football game.
The registration fee of $50.00 per participant includes 2 days of training, snack, pizza party, custom clinic cheer t-shirt, and a hair bow!
DRESS CODE:
Please remember that RUHS has a strict dress code policy that needs to be adhered to. Failure to do so will result in having to change and/or fix your outfit. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any adult on campus, or look on the website or in your school planner for the dress code policy of what is allowable and what is not.
