Introduction
Hello. My name is Wilkin Lee and I have been teaching Honors and AP Chemistry since 2016 at RUHS. Prior to teaching at RUHS, I piloted an AP chemistry course at Lennox Academy and have been education high school students since 2005. I am a proud UCLA Bruin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and worked in the chemical industry for 5 years before I was an educator. I received my single subject science teaching credential through CSULB.
I believe the best way for a student to learn is not only through direct instruction, but through self-discovery. This is accomplished as our students to work cooperatively through small group discussion and POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) activities. My hope is for students to develop life skills that are critical for their success in college and future careers. I emphasize in critical thinking by using our science content to develop good evidence-based reasoning and problem solving skills.
