Welcome to Geometry with Mrs. Hamm! Room 313
Common Core High School Geometry is a college preparatory course that satisfies one year of math required for high school graduation. This course covers chapters 1-12 in the Big Ideas California Geometry text Online by Ron Larson and Laurie Boswell. This course will explore the language and logic of Geometry through the study of angles, polygons, and various other shapes. There will be extensive development and use of deductive reasoning. The writing of logical and convincing “proof arguments” is a major objective the first semester of the course. The second semester we will emphasize problem-solving skills, critical thinking and applying formulas to the process of logical reasoning.
